ok my glow lights school with the neons and when i get some doh ill get more glos and may just get 2 female barbs for the male cherry barb....add 3 mo kuhilihs tooo

Cherry barbs need 6 or more. 3 is not enough for them to be happy. You should consider taking a few fish back because by the time you beef up the numbers of everything you are going to be pretty overstocked.

fyi, angels tend to be ambush predators..meaning they hide in the plants and attack when fish swim by.

particularly wild angels..they hide in the plants until they see food..then they are very fast. strike and move back.
btw, they are very difficult to see amongst the plants..my marble koi disappear in the plants and they can't be trusted with any fish small enough to fit in their mouths..including 1 3/4" oto's :shark:

well u guys are smart people and wasting $1 in the long run wont hurt unless if i buy like a $10 and i kno its gunna get eaten then i wont get it but a $1 neon wont hurt and will make my tank look peacfull and cool for them to school until it gets eaten... :)
please do not buy a fish just so it can get eaten in a few months. one of my angels is 2.5 inches right now and she could gobble up a neon that was just brough home from the store. neons grow slow. angels grow pretty fast.

f ball guy, your going to be right about the neons about 95% of the time, but i just want you to know that sometimes the captive bred angels (the further along in breeding from the wild type the better) will ignore neons- this is true for my black viel angel

also freshwater j, its good and all that your filling out the schools, but make sure that your not overstocking in the process, fill them out slowly and use good judgement on when to add and when to subtract

also make sure to quarantine, tetras can be easily devistated by ich and other diseases

it sounds like the tank is coming along nicely! do you have any pics of it?

i wish i could but my camera sucks waiting to get a good one this X- mas

wanna see some old pics of my tank w/ a bad camera?
