peacock or ahli?

can anyone determine whether this fish is a peacock or electric blue ahli? It had light blue to white fins then they started to turn yellow on top of its head and dorsal fin. any replies would be greatly appreciated.

As i stated in a preavious post on this particular fish, its a close call between the two from the picture i see,,Peacocks do have vertical stripes....Electric labs usually have a black stripe on the dorsil fin..We have an electric blue and peacock but they don't look like yours........

it is an electric blue cichlid (sciaenochromis fryeri) they also go by electric blue ahli or hap

Sciaenochromis fryeri (electric blue haplochromis) does NOT have an orange dorsal fin, but rather should have a 'white' dorsal. in my opinion, your fish is not an electric blue and neither does it have the more rounded body of an Aulonocara 'peacock'.

my feeling is that your fish is almost certainly a hybrid and my guess would be Copadichromis and Sciaenochromis.

liv2padl correct it isnt a blue electric.. and it is a cross breed of two cichlids.went to the lfs and they had one just like it and the fishie people did not know the names of the two that it was bred from. Kudos to you liv2padl..
