I have a Pearl Gourami who is the biggest fish in a 30g Comm tank living with 6 grown platies, 4 praecox rainbows ( 1 large 3 small ) , 2 silver tip tetras and 2 cardinals, and a few ottos, it is a well planted tank. The Gourami likes the top level back corners ( darker ). He will occasionally rush from one dark corner to the other, then hang out there. He is quite peacful towards the other fish and I never see him chased. However, when I feed the fish he NEVER eats, the odd time if I can get some flakes right above him, he take some food then spit it out. He has no interest in the frozen blood worms either. He does not look unhealthy, but he does not look as good or bright as one I had years ago. Any foods that they prefer when this picky? Do you think he finds food somewhere after it gets dark?
