Hi all,
I put 6 in my well established 90g 2 days ago.
Does it take them a long time to get use to things?
They haven`t eaten anything I`ve tried, pellet, flakes
or frozen. They are not hiding too much, are out and about in the tank.
Other inhabitants are 4 bolivian rams, 7 platties, 7 cories, 3 plecs and a
wandering balloon mollie..:)
Never had them before, thought they would look nice in my planted tank
thats soon to happen, I hope!!!
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks~

Or live brind shrimp.

Mine are pigs. Do you stand there and watch them? They seem to me to be ultra aware of what's going on outside of the tank. At first, I would have to walk away, and if I stood across the room, I could see them go to the top and eat. Now, my female (the male died a few days ago) will almost eat out of my hand.

I have a feeling the platties are bothering them. They are pigs!
Not sure the pearls are getting a chance. I have seen them put some in
but immediately spit it out, which is why I have tried different foods. The bloodworms and brine shrimp went untouched. I`ll give them a few more days and maybe remove the platties to see if that might help. Thanks for the comments!

that's how gourami eat... they suck it in, spit out most of it... they do that a few times... and then they finish it off.

Ok, good to know about the spitting. Guess I`m just use to cichlids, they will eat and eat and eat!!! Is there some tetra or other type that would be better with the pearls? I can move the platties to another tank if need be, but would like something else. I would like a pair or two out of this six. I also would like to have some angels, is that possible with them? I have never had angels and I would assume I would need 6 also to try and get a pair or two.
Thanks for all the info~
