I've kept Pearlweed for a few years now, and it's an interesting plant the way it dies off at times but then comes back with a vengeance.
I had some success in the past using it as a P1010604.JPG P1010605.JPG P1010606.JPG groundcover but it really is much happier for me as a floater.
It's a fantastic spawning media and my rcs population is thriving.
It's spreading so much that I had to move some into my 20 gallon tank

When it's happy, it's really happy.

Love it!

Awesome! My HM never looked so good, the best it did was as a groundcover...until I added a BN pleco fry...filter fodder, sniff, or long stem plants, but not bushy like yours.

I had trouble keeping mine compact as groundcover. I think you need very good light and willingness to constantly trim.
As you can tell, I don't spend much time trimming my plants.

The pearlweed had all but disappeared until recently when this latest growth explosion occurred.
In a heavily planted tank it just stays in one area as a floater and stays nice and dense, even too dense sometimes.
