I just put 5 very small, peeled peas in my tank and the guppies are digging it! Howard the clown pleco got one too! He's guarding it!

That was the most fun I've had watching my fish eat!

Thanks for the thread that recommended it!

frozen, canned or fresh, its all fine. just make sure you clean them well, either thaw or cook is necessary, shell and feed small pieces.

when i had red and white comets, they would love to eat peas. sometimes i didn't break them small enough and they would get stuck in the mouth. eventually they would swallow it.

awesome its something that i enjoy feeding my little friends as well
natural is the best way to go i make all there food and sub a bit or hikari once and awhile good varied diet makes happy healthy fish :bday:

haha i just tried that i put i big piece in and my swordtail was like attacking it casue it was too big to swollow but then i put smaller pieces in and they ate them

Ok...guess I should have been more specific. Frozen peas, shelled and broken into smaller pieces. I didn't cook them, should I have? I just left them out for a couple minutes to thaw a little. Should I do frozen peas the same as I do my frozen food, i.e. decant a little tank water, drop in frozen food, stir with tank only plastic fork, pour slowly into tank making sure to evenly disperse.

I reiterate....that was so much fun to watch! They really went after those peas!

I will usually tank some frozen peas toss them in the micro for a few secs. Then instead of shelling or peeling them I just squeeze them between my fingers then the inside shoots into the water leaving the husk in my hand. Everyone is happy! :D
