For starters, put the stuff on a vegie clip and put it in his chillin spot as was said. Once he recognizes it as food you can pretty well put it anywhere in the tank you like. he'll see it go in and make his way to wherever to eat it. In other words train him to eat where it's easy for you to feed him. My pleco is very protective of his food, and will seem to ignore it untill the firemouth and dempsey get near and then he rushes over to protect the food for himself.
