peat moss ??

I would like to know how many types of peat moss there is..
And
How much of peat moss do i need to add to my 30gal aquarium?
Is putting it in the pantyhose a good choice?
Do I have to put in the filter? Can I just leave it on the substrate?
Do I have to wash the new peat moss before I use it?

There is also one thing here..
It is written as "HORTI Moss peat is derived from partially decomposed sphagnum mosses"
Do I get the correct one?

i just use the peat moss from a home and garden store.Make sure it has no ferts in it though.Place in a pantyhose and float in your filter.as for washing it maybe give it a quick rinse

I use Hagen Fluval brand peat pellets and I put it directly in my filter between two mesh-filter sponges.

I used about 3/4-1cup of the stuff.

I would recommend placing in your filter instead of the substrate so you get constant flow through it.

be prepared to have your water turn a yellowish brown.
