Okay so i just got a pair of these kribs for only 1$ at an auction on sunday and i am put them in my 55 gallon long tank. i havent been on in a while so i'll tell you my stocking so far. I have around 10 neons, 1 pearl gourmi, 2 juvie angels, 2 clown loaches, and the pair of kribs. I am planning on breeding them. Should i move the clown loaches and the angels? i am thinking of putting in a coconut hut since i also got a c02 system on sunday too.

bump?
and i made a coconut cave and added anubias onto the top with some type of tank glue and put it in the tank. the male and female both seem to like it a lot. the female is really plump and pink and it's been doing this weird spaz infront of the male. She'd like shake her whole body real fast. is this her telling him shes ready?

pretty much, she's ready. When you don't see her for a few days she's probably guarding the eggs. I think you should have a place to move the angels, but you don't have to move them now, just be ready in case problems come up when they get bigger. My kribs always liked case close to the ground making it easier to guard. GL

should i move the clown loaches to or will they not be a bother?

okay so she hasnt layed her eggs yet and it looks like shes gonna exploddeee!!! and would a pair of rams work in my 55 gallon? i am thinking about just selling the clown loaches and maybe getting a smaller less aggressive loach?

i believe there are eggs now =) the female started to move rocks from the inside of the hut to the outside last night and now she have been hanging in there all day :)

congrats! posted a pic of my recent eggs to show what color they should be. I have a pair that are great parents but a pair that will always eat their fry a wk later. So I began separating the eggs. They are actually begining to hatch in the pic, the cave pic was taken a few days ago. I swap out the rock all ninja like so he continues to guard it for a while, lessens the aggression toward the male.

well i cant see inside my coconut cave and i cant tell if she actually laid eggs but i believe so because she only comes out to pick around the hut then goes back in.

And nice!!! I hope i have a good pair that are going to be great parents. When can i seperate the fry from the parents?

you can seperate them whenever you like, but my "good" pair raised them for weeks, until they were swimming off on their own and what not. The fry will swim in a big swam up and down the sides of the tank, I just swoop in there with a big net and get them all. Or you can suck them out with a baster or hose, or leave them with their parents and try your luck. They will breed again and again most likely.
