Penguin 350 or Emperor

I have a bunch of Emperor 400's, but I bought them before the Penguin 350 with biowheel came out. If I had to do it today, I'd buy more penguins instead of the Emperors since they now have the biowheel. Since the penguin is about half the price, I'd rather have 3 penguins running instead of 2 emperors. . .

However, if I truly had to do it again, I'd buy aquaclear. Can't wait to get an aquaclear or 2. They look awesome.

With the Emperor 400 you have the option for 4 media trays (2 per side). This is a great feature. I think if you are buying two of them that you cant lose with either one.

the pinguin has the same feature and i love it and personaly i wouldnt spend more money for only 50 more GPH (the equivilant of about a 10 gallon filter) and all the same features when youre goin to have the both of them on a 90 gallon tank and they are rated for 75 gallons

My buddy has a 400 i have a 350... I wouldnt trade him. My 350 works great... I think its only rated 10gph more... Plus replacement parts are cheaper for a 350..

my emperors rattle and slows down a lot faster than my penguin or even my walmart aquatechs which are basically penguins without the biowheel
