I have two penguin power filters (125) that are unable pull water in. I have filled the filter with water to get it started, but it still doesn't work. These filters are about 5 years old, so its no suprise that they don't work. I'm wondering if they just need a new magnet? I have tried cleaning the magnet and inside the filter to no avail.

Has anyone tried replacing this part for better suction? I know that if the magnet of a motor dies, the the motor won't work as well. But the enamel of the magnet wire can also melt and cause a short making it not work.
