Penn Plax therma-flo Plus Heater

I'm not sure exactly how to work this thing, i've read tons of bad reviews on it though. I will turn the dial just a centimeter until the pilot light goes on, the water goes up to like 82 degrees, the light goes off, then the water drops back down to 71. (room temp). Unless i'm doing something wrong, this brand sucks. . Am I working this thing right? I might just go get a ebo-jaguar.

Go get a real heater,before that thing cooks your fish.

Take a look at the Tronic or Jager brands and you'll be in good shape.

That thing will kill your fish because the temp. changes soo much. Go with a Jagar.
