Ok I have now bought 6 peppermint shrimp in total... 2 different times I bought a set of 3 guys and acclimated them properly. I saw them for about a week and then gone... Not sure what is going on or if I need to feed them special..

I have 2 skunk cleaner shrimp and 1 blood red shrimp for about a year so I am not sure what is the problem with the peppermint... I am fighting an aptasia infection so I wanted some of them to see if they will help...

My fish are:
Yellow Tang
Hippo Tang
True Perc Clown
3 blue Chromis
2 engineer gobies
6 line wrase
purple pseudochromis

all in my 90 gallon and they are all nice.... any ideas what the problem is or could they still be in there an me not know? (Not likely)

Also my purple reef lobster just molted for the first time only had him for about 2 weeks... sweetttttt......

Peppermints can be nocturnal creature, the ones i had in my previous reef i never saw unless i was scouting the tank at night after lights out...They just seemed to stay in their hidy hole untill it was dark...

When we had 2 peppermint shrimp (in total about 5 months before they completely disappeared), they didn't get along with our 2 skunk cleaner shrimp very well. The skunk cleaners were pretty aggressive toward the peppermint shrimp, and I think the most likely cause for them disappearing in our tank (90g also). The peppermints ate all our aiptasia and would come out of hiding to eat the normal foods the tank was fed, but still ended up disappearing.

I only see my peppermints at night.. During the day they are extremely reclusive..

yeah peps are night crew, if you find one in the day he most likely will be under a rock in a cave area, shine a flashlight on him and watch he will skurry away. chances are that they are all still in there.

Yup.. got one, and it dissapered...
I used to check the ammonia lots when i "lost" him to make sure he didnt die...:headshake2:

I dunno what y'all are talking about with your peppermints. Mine is very friendly!

However, I haven't seen him for the past 3 days. He usually pops out to chase fish food at feeding time.
