I"ve had these 4 "Peruvian Altum Angelfish" for a couple of months now. I work at a lfs and ordered these directly from our supplier, costing me a little under 20 bucks for all. I browsed the forums and found that these are uncommon, meaning that they would probably be pretty expensive. So I'm wondering if these are really P. Altums...I can't get a hold of a camera right now, but will try tomorrow. Anyone have any pics of their P. Altums so I can compare? It seems like they are doing pretty well...the 3 larger ones have grown about 2 inches vertically. I've been feeding them frozen bloodworms, Krill, flake flood, and mini alga wafers. Thanks in advance for anyone's input.

Thats extremely cheap for Altums, they might just be wild-caught Peruvian P. scalare. Which btw, are still attractive angels.

Peruvian Altums in reality are a form of P.Scalare.
but it depends on much
however, there is more research being done. as some resemble Altums and a possible new species or class of Altum may be in the future.

here is an article that may lend more information.
