Hey, this might sound dumb, but could I keep an aiptasia in a one gallon tank with a chunk of LR and a little pump and an 18 watt pc light? Feed it generously, lavish it with TLC that kind of thing? If it was the only critter in the tank would this work? I feel bad about shoving a sharp needle in them and pumping them full of lemon juice and watching them die. I thought maybe I'd keep one for a pet but NOT in the reef tank. Thanks!

yes you could. Some one on another fourm set up a pest tank. Its full of apatsia and a manits. IMO some aptasia looks beautiful. I say go for it.
The good (or bad thing) about Aiptasia is it will only die if you want to kill it, otherwise tank quality isnt a real big concern with them.
