Pet Peeves....

People who ask for advice in a fish forum and then question said advice. :thud:

Worse still, they come back and try to defend their blatantly incorrect way of fish keeping. :rant2:

Working in construction, I run into the types of people who will spend 2 hours trying to find an "easy" way of doing something, when it would only take 25 minutes to do it the "hard" way.

People who will nearly kill themselves and others passing you in trafic to get 10 feet further ahead than they were. I also see folks who will get off at a freeway exit, and right back on when trafic is really heavy so they can get a little ahead too.(now how many of you are going to think "what a great idea" and try it?)

Speaking about construction. . . We deal with contractors all the time, (which is cool).. It's the designers that drive me nuts. . . not all, but lots of designers hardly know anything about construction, yet they walk into the site, with their hand on their chin, nose up in the air, wearing their silk red scarf, babbling about their apparent thoughts in dressing up the place, using words like "sexy" and "zen" to describe a wall, all while not even looking eye to eye to the workers, instead, telling the contractor what to do...


( I have worked with many great designers, but a lot of them just know how to walk the walk, talk the talk, and surprisingly get away with it)...

Taking clothes off inside out...I have to say this is my biggest pet peeve. Where I work we have to do laundry. I have been known to throw clothes in the trash because of this. Socks are the number one item on the list I HATE when inside out...

Since I live in the land of nine million seniors, mine has to be "overly careful" drivers, you know, those that take 20 minutes to pull out of a parking lot.

I hate when people in a restaurant send back their food for stupid reasons. It's one thing if there's a bug in it or the order is completely wrong but sending back a dish because the guacamole touched the beans??? Don't these people realize they're just gonna get the same dish back with the guac scraped off and and a dash of chef spit mixed in?!?!

People who ride their bike on the sidewalk. These people are too cowardly to ride on the road with the powerful machines, so they drive pedestrians off the walkway. Arrrrrrgh!

I hate tech support from companies that send it off-shore. I've been talking to Dell a bit lately, and not ONE of the techs/customer service folks have spoken English as their native language. I'm all for the melting pot thing, but when I call to ask detailed technical questions, I NEED to be able to understand the answers I'm given.

LOL my GF is like tht....i always tell her to taste the spitty flavor after she gets her food back.

I ride the bus so all my pet peeves surround it. the people who take up 2 or more seats so no one can sit next to them.....I'm like wtf let someone sit next to you. not to contradict myself(but im about to) people who sit next to you and won't stop talking about stuff you don't want to hear....even though you try to ignore them or show you're not interested they still go on about pointless stuff.

Money being out of order. Everyone knows They are all supposed to face the same way.. have no folds.. in order starting with 1's. When I was running a bar the waitresses had to give me the singles facing the same way to get a bigger bill back or I'd give em heck. lol. I am also always going through my boyfriends wallet to make sure they are all put in correctly. I don't know why it bothers me so much it just does.
