How is everyone doing?
We moved about four months ago. My cat picked up fleas and started losing hair. Took her to the vet. for treatment. Fleas are gone but she is still losing hair. I was thinking it was from the stress of moving but it maybe beyond that. Have anyone had this problem? thanks for all your help.

My kitties had this when I moved out and left them with mom(no fleas, just the hair loss). It grew back after about 2 years. Poor little cold things

lawnman.. in advance.. I'm sorry... but... ROFLMAO!!! Hair paint=butt paint.

Per chance, are you feeding her cow milk?

My grandma used to always give her cats milk and we noticed they were loosing hair on thier backs. We told her cats are lactose-intolerant, which they are, and suggested she use special "cat milk" you can buy at the pet store. Since then the bald spots have grown back and kitty is much happier!

hey I recently started loosing hair, maybe balding, SCARY! what am I drinking that makes me loose hair?

Honestly, ryknier, if it's not typical hair loss (ie, family history for male pattern balding (even in girls)), go get your thyroid checked. I had a change in my dose, and within 1 months started losing hair. Ended up with 3, 2 inch bald areas in different parts of my head. My thyroid test came back 'okay', but I made them reduce the dose and within a month my hair was growing back. I have lots, so it was never noticable, but abnormal hair loss is often a sign of a bigger problem.

I'd go back to the vet or just give them a call and ask what they think. That doesn't sound normal and could indeed be a sign of something much more serious. It could be some disease that was carried by the flea...could be something like mange....

Some animals are naturally much more allergic to flea bites and can really be troubled by them. Some flea bites cause dermititus on some cats.

Either way, its all unpleasant and something should be done about it if possible.
