PETA kills animals...

Hmmm. This is a complicated subject. It makes me queezy to watch the videos that PETA post of the animals being abused and tortured by slauter house people, breeders, and farmers. I think these things should be regulated and made to be done in a more ethical way than the animal suffering during the death process. The question is though what does PETA stand for as far as their morals and values? Are they killing the animals that are unsavable medically as do the ASPCA? Or are they just killing them because they have no room and want them to be saved from suffering? I agree that killing an animal because there is no more room for them is pretty terrible but to save it from suffering and abuse by a painless death can be sort of a gift. Although I can't stand the idea of killing an animal for whatever the reason. If an animal can live a happy life I say do what you can to make sure that happens even if it means for the animal to sit in the shelter until its own natural death. I really did respect PETA but now I'm very dissapointed in this story. No animal should be killed unless it is unsavable and in horrible pain and suffering. I really do hope that there is another organization that will have stronger morals, values, and ethics to take over this animal rights activism.

The problem with Peta (or any other extremist group out there) is that they believe that animals should roam free... All animals... this includes dogs as pets, cats, fish, and anything else.

no animals for medical testing, none for food.... According to Peta, no one should be allowed to own a pet, even if you're giving it great care. All of us, who do our best to give our fish a healthy and enjoyable environment, in PETA's eyes, are wrong in keeping fish all together.

that being said, they don't have any interest in finding good homes for the animals they "save"...

That's just an obsurd idea to try to make the world believe.

I am not a PETA fan. Honestly though, the animals in our animal control shelters and at the SPCA... are not getting adopted at the rate they should be. At least PETA has the balls to reduce the amount of unwanted pet animals. Where is the money supposed to come from to house all these animals indefinitely? It doesn't exist.

EDIT: I don't know the motives behind PETA killing their animals. I'm just commenting on the event itself.

I wish I would run into a PETA protest in person.. I'm tired of hearing about it on the news. I wanna be that crazy guy they write about in the article that made a HUGE public mockery of them in front of everyone.

Thanks for the extended info Cheech. I didn't know that about PETA thinking that animals should be free. So from what I understand from that is they would much rather our domesticated animals be disease stricken, pose a higher risk to humans when they go wild, and have to scavange for food possibly starve to death rather than be supplied with a steady food source, be properly vaccinated, and tamed. This junk is crazy man!

Why would they be attempting to get animals adopted at all if they want them to run free... isn't that kinda against their own beliefs? I dunno, PETA confuses the crap out of me. If one ever started attacked me on the street for eating a burger I'd most likely just punch him in the throat. I betcha they wouldn't be able to get a dime out of me for doing it, with the way they act.

Edit: unless it was a woman... i'd never hit a woman.

This video contains language that some may find innapropriate. However, the information in it is worth seeing. If you can stand a few 4 letter words, don't click :-)

I'd hit a PETA woman. Force, location and situation come into effect though ;)
