Crim:I took Jones approach, to an extent. Here's my after shots--I didn't take before shots... ew.
- Thanks as I spent more than a few minutes preparing my post.
- The gal who I mostly run around with is from New Mexico but she happened to find what is now my centerpiece at PetCo in San Angelo and the price was approximately $3 (it was the last driftwood which they had in the store).
- Hence I believe that I know what your driftwood looked like before you went through the ordeal! (but are you now not glad that you did?)
If you have any Pleco catfish or Yoyo loaches they will really enjoy the holes.
As set forth in previous posts it is Malaysian. However, does anyone know what type of driftwood it is?
Folks:
This is just a question.
When I reentered fish keeping several years ago I did a ton of research including driftwood and bogwood.
A previous post indicated bogwood.
My research indicated that "real bogwood" was from swamps in England and Ireland. (These pieces were very, very high dollar for the wood as well as the shipping.)
I also found what was purported to be bogwood from several sources but was really driftwood.
The only other bogwood which I found originated in the swamps of Florida and Louisiana and was not pretty at all.
Does someone have a source for reasonably priced, pretty bogwood?
