Petco Mailer Jan 6 - 19

Being a P.A.L.S. member I have gotten on the Petco mailing list. This week I received one of their flyers. One the back of the flyer there is a "Build Your Own Tank" advertisement. I will quote the part that got my attention:

3 - Choose to have your system delivered to you, or place an order with your local PETCO store.

After your aquarium has cycled, shop the huge selection of aquatic life, plants and decor at PETCO.com or stop by your nearest PETCO and enjoy filing your new tank.

I think this is the first time I have ever seen any mention of aquariums needed to cycle by any fish store in their advertisments. I thought others might like to see that PETCO is mentioning it.

Is that ever nice to see. I am wondering if anyone working in the store can tell me what cycling is? Being a big chain they are probably only telling everyone about cycling so they can sell some product, but it is good see anyway.

"How long does it take to cycle a tank? Like 2 or 3 days. But with our new water treatment product, you could speed the process up and cycle your tank in 20 minutes!"

"Gee, Billy. That sure does sound nice."
