If you plan to buy anything fish related from Petsmart MAKE SURE to look the item up on the internet first. Print the page out witht he price you found on the internet and carry it with you to the store. Heres why:

I've been looking up prices on freshwater master kits, these are the kits that have every main test you need to test aquariums. I was at work looking around and came across a bunch of sites that had them from $22-$35. I clicked on over to PetSmart and I found the FreshWater Master Test Kit for $13.99. HAD TO HAVE ONE!!! This wasnt a sale, i read the article 40 times to make sure. So I ran down there walked over tot he shelf and it was priced $34. Ok Im ill. I bring the manager over there and explain the situation and he isnt helping( go figure). So as frustrated as I was start walking towards the door when this cute chick hollars for me to come over to her. I was hoping she wanted my number or I could get hers but what she gave me was even better!!! She told me to go home and print the page with the item out and bring it back. Petsmart has to accept the internet price no matter the terms as long as it came from their site. Also if you can find a competitor they will meet or beat the price. I've done this with almost everything they have in the store, lights, food, decor, meds. So check prices first maybe save yourself a little bit on money.

No, they don't add on the shipping cost. If you do try to price match a competitor's price though, you have to bring in the article proving that they are selling the EXACT item for less. Also, Petsmart will NOT match the price of any online stores other than their own.

I just got home with an Aquaclear 50 for 13.99! I even handed her a printout saying the online price was 19.99.

The mini was only 13.99 so she must have tought it was that price!

You got lucky mgamer, they're not supposed to do that.

That's what I figured, too, after Steph told me they only match online prices for THEIR OWN site. I guess it depends on which manager you get. Maybe they didn't realize it was for an online place, or weren't aware of the policy? I hope I get that lucky! :)
