I'm with feemia, once you've been retail there's no recovery, from Black Friday or any other. More than 20 years later, I'm still scarred!

petsmart will be handing out coupon booklets on friday in the store. don't know the %'s but its still coupons.

it's called black friday because the sales cause the stock indexes or whatever you call them to be black for positive. Black positive- Red negative. All the sales shoot up on black friday and all the retailers look forward to this day because all sales are in the positive. On any other day you have a mix of red and black indexes. Yes it does suck if you work retail I used to work in Sears and it sucked bad....

What's black Friday? Aniversary of the market crash?

It's the day of the year that account books get into the "black" (profit) opposed to being in the "red" (losing money). Also a bad day for retail employees. I'm glad those days are over for me.
