Petsmart is wonderful.

RE: Petsmart price match

It seems to depend on the store. Two of my three stores will match any price on their site (made a $30 difference on my Python!), one won't.

Ive always been able to get them to match. Well, ive only bought some heaters etc... a couple of times, but they matched. Actually i was gonna pick up a couple of xp3's so ill find out in the future i guess. If they dont match it, ill just order from bigalsonline.

I have gotten them to match their online prices everytime including a 50 foot python that was 74.99 at store and 42.99 online..

Our Petsmart isn't that bad the tanks are clean, no dead fish, and there prices are reasonable. Our Petco on th other hand has some really bad aquariums, I would never buy fish from them.

PetSmart is the only game in town for me; well there is another fish place here in town, but the tanks were dingy-whole place was actually.

Have gotten nothing but good service at PetSmart. All my newbie questions are answered without hesitation-and as far as I can see, no BS.

I stand corrected; the local Wallie World does carry fish and supplies, but I have never seen a sales person in the area.

Petsmart overpriced

I find petsmart fish prices grossly overpriced. I've seen "Jumbo" Neon tetras sold for 2 or 3 bucks. (As if neons ever can be considered jumbo.) The best place in the Philadelphia area is called the Hidden Reef in the NE. To compare, a neon is more like 69 to 99 cents or so. Conditions were just fine, though. Healthy fish.

No no no, what you don't understand is that Petsmart orders jumbo neons, but if what they get aren't actually jumbo, they pass the buck to the consumer because they can. [/sarcasm] I'm surprised the Petsmart Posse hadn't called you out on that before actually.

I've never seen a neon for more than $1.50 at a LFS and the ones that are $1.50 (as opposed to something like 3 for $2) actually are big for neons.

The Petsmart I use even matches Big Al's online prices.

Blargh! Just where are you located in VA, Luke? I'm in Herndon and neons are 1.99 each at the LFS.

Dunno what they are at Petsmart, I didn't like the looks of them and didn't even check the price.
