Ok i just got back from petsmart today, and while i was there, they had plastic cylinders of aquatic plants, no water in the cylinder, just air, and on the shelves. How are these aquatic?

Wow, I guess I am really lucky. I live in the San Joaquin Valley of California. At one time or another, someone has dumped an aquarium containing some of these plants into it. A lot of them have become weeds which cannot be eradicated. Elodea is abundant, java fern, java moss, duckweed, etc. Most all of my plants have come from the sloughs or waterways around the area. I read about how these water plants have become serous weeds in other areas also, it may pay one to look around in their area(s.)
