petsmart plants?

Wow, I guess I am really lucky. I live in the San Joaquin Valley of California. At one time or another, someone has dumped an aquarium containing some of these plants into it. A lot of them have become weeds which cannot be eradicated. Elodea is abundant, java fern, java moss, duckweed, etc. Most all of my plants have come from the sloughs or waterways around the area. I read about how these water plants have become serous weeds in other areas also, it may pay one to look around in their area(s.)

well i live in the crapsace missouri and i actually went with my dad to some of the rivers and i wouldn't put anything from those rivers in any aquarium of mine....you aren't even allowed to swim in most of the rivers they're so dirty...lucky lol

Hmmm, ever seen some of the rivers they get the fish from which we keep in our aquariums? Yanno, health and sanitation is some of those 3rd world countries is something most would worry about. You might just change your mind.

Yeah, I bought the kyoto grass and some kind of a draceana. I know both of these to be bog plants so thats what I did with them, Planted them in my terrarium right beside the waterfall outlet. They aren't growing fast at all but they are growing.

I have seen some ferns live underwater but not very well. You also have to have an extreme amout of humidity if you pick out the ferns they offer.

cool, yeah i didn't look very close but i thought i saw something that looked almost like green bacopa, but it could stand up by itself and everything. their selection was just weird and foreign to me in general. but people seemed to love them, they were flying off the shelves, so i guess petsmart isn't losing any money by selling non aquatic plants lol
also, has anybody ever checked out the plants that pet land has to offer? a lot of them looked familiar, but they seemed pretty pricey. Are they better at sticking to true aquatic plants?

My petland is pretty pricey on their plants, but they get some nice ones in everyonce in awhile. Other than that though they don't have the best selection.

I now have a deal selling hornwort to them out of my pond as well as crawdads.

Their best plants I have seen were 10 2ft tall swords they got in and a dwarf lily that has about 15 6" leaves on the surface.
