when we got him he was about 2 weeks old, under an inch and were feeding him blood worms, now he is about 2.5 months old and around 7". We feed a very nutrient rich DIY beef heart food that i make, it contains beef heart, chiclid pellets, tropical flakes, peas, carrots and cucumber. right now we are feeding him about three 1/2" cubes in the morning and two 1/2" cubes at night. im keeping an eye out for a 240+ ( ideally a 300 gallon ) tank to move him to when he gets older...

Ideally, I think a 300 would still be too small.

A 300 won't be good for very long. 4 foot fish. There is an LFS in Phoenix (where Benson got his Lee Mar 90 or 95, actually) called the Ocean Floor that had one that was easily 4 foot long in what was, at a guess, a 1500 gallon tank, and that looked kinda small for it.
