im just wondering does ph have any effect on plants?
im asking this because i once lived in this city with a ph of around 6.5 but now i moved to the suburbans, and the water here has a ph of +8.
At my old location my plants grew with now problems at all and barely any algae occured, but now i try everything i can to grow plants with little success and algae just keeps taking over.

I guess algae loves higher pH LOL

Most plants can adapt as well as fish, but maybe the new location gets too much natural sunlight or the water is loaded with more nutrients than before.

i don't know i feel that Ph, GH, and KH all have an affect on plants but i know in gerneral i found my plant grew much better in lower PH water than high PH water. this could be because of a few factors but i think thay adapt to the water faster.
