ooohhh wth.......
so im setting my 135 (or rather its been set up since thanksgiving)
but im ready to put my fish in there tonight....
except. a quick check of the pH shows me its at 8.0!!!!
my tap water sits around 6.2
and my buffered tanks are never higher than 6.9
ok i just tested the hardness (which tap water both are less than 10ppm)
and in this tank they are...
kh 80ppm
gh 10ppm
so the only thing i can think of is, i used pool filter sand in this tank. in fact its the only thing in there right now....and if its changing the water pram.s this much, it must have a chemical in it....
now i dont know if i should move my fish.
should i just take out the pool filter sand?
