I can not figure this out maybe someone can help me with this delema.I have a ph of 7.61 in my sw fish and some corals (mushrooms, polyps, etc.) 0 nitrate,0 nitrite,0 amonia??? I have good circulation in the tank I think and a gh of 12deg. Helppppppppppp
Thanks

I just checked the Ph and again it is 7.64 I don't know why.Any body got any ideas??I had a freind tell me it could be a lack of calcium???? That low calcium might leave my kh high and drive the Ph low???
Don't know but please help.

Low Ca won't affect the pH. Low Ca will allow the alkalinity (kH is a measure of this) to go up, but it doesn't "drive" it up. Your alkalinity is about 4.3, which is not abnormally high.

Two possible causes.
First, your alkalinity is low. That doesn't seem to be a problem.
Second, you have high CO2, either because the room is poorly ventilated or low circulation in the tank. If the pH goes up after taking a sample of your tank water to another room and bubbling air through vigorously it for a half an hour, then you have a CO2 problem.

I just noticed that I have some red algea on the substrate and a few of the rocks maybe it is the co2 like you say due to poor circulation.I was told this this evening by a friend,he said red algea is there because of overfeeding or poor circulation.I don't know I do know this tank has been up and running for about 1-1.5 year's now.Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks
