Hello
I know that you can raise the PH with limestone and crushed coral. For a 55 gallon, how much would you recomend starting off at in cups, Table spoons or what. The ph right now is around 6.2 PH?and how long will this cure a ph problem in my 55 gallon. will i need to add more after a couple of months.

Limestone isthe slowest, crushed coral next, aragonite faster - but still relatively low. Aragonite is more soluble, so a bit agead of the others.

Supplementing the stockpile is need after some period, partly due to blocking by biofilms, partly due to loss of mass from the mineral. I'd start with multiple tablespoons to fractional cups and monitor until I got a feel for the particular chemistry of that tank.

limestone rocks are great for long term maintenance of the PH but won't solve your immediate issues just leave them in there as an added buffer.
