Hi,

I'm getting back in to the hobby after about 6years off. My friend gave me a 55 gal setup and I had an old test kit for PH but hte directions are missing.

The kit is a Aquarium Pharaceuticals Deluxe Test Kit.

Any help would be great, or I'll be buying a new one.

Without the directions, chances are you are missing the color chart that you can use to compare and find out what PH your water is. If you are missing that, you are pretty much out of luck.

Here you go...

"Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Freshwater Deluxe pH Test Kit

Technical Information
Directions for Testing pH

Read thoroughly before testing.

Fill a clean test tube with five ml of water to be tested (to the line on the tube).
Add three dorps of indicator solution, holding dropper bottle upside down in a completely vertical position to assure uniformity of drops.

Cap the test tube and invert tube to mix solution. Do not hold finger over open end of tube, since body acid may effect the pH of the test solution.
Determine the pH reading by the color of the solution against those on the pH color chart. The tube should be viewed against a white background in a well-lit area. Rinse test tube with clean tap water after each use.

I ended up buy a new one, I was missing the color chart also.

Also bought some new fish, just couldn't help myself.

welcome back to the hobby!
