Pharaoh cats in basement?

Well, I located which duct it is in, I can't really reach my hand down there....would if be ok if I unscrewed the duct from down stairs and took the duct off or would that be dangerous, it is right next to the heater itself?

My hand with a glove on will not fit in this register...I see where the screws are in the duct if I just take this piece off I could get to it, have NO idea how it could of got in there, it is connected to the heater, then goes straight to my register, it is MAYBE 3'046.JPG040.JPG045.JPG043.JPG

OMG!! It got it's head out of the register....but went back in now it is making a choking sound from having it's head stuck! I'm dying here, just going to give it some time to try and get out there if not I'm going to turn my heater off and unscrew the ducts this poor thing!!

Aww, poor thing. Sorry to break it to you, G, but Pharaoh Cats get to go and do as they please...

Ok, so since I had a crock of Italian beef cooking I took some out and put it next to the vent to try and entice it out with the smell of food...IT WORKED!!! Took him a few attempts bet it is out and back outside!!!068.JPG066.JPG065.JPG060.JPG064.JPG063.JPG

Ah, and my girls said they have seen where the cats go in and out so I'm off to look at this hole and see what I can do about blocking it off!

Well, got a big stone in front of the hole now, low and behold as the girls were taking me to the spot a cat (different one) was going it!!

Lol. So it could have gotten out, just chose not to? That looks like some tasty beef though. I'd squeeze myself through a small opening for a bite of that. ;)

That last pic of the cat is just hilarious. He's all ehnnh, must has noms.
