phosphate problems and other issues

I have cleaned out my sump and performed another water change. The phosphate level is still high, but it has gone down to ~3ppm. I lost my plate coral but my hammer seems to be doing better. Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

I'd try a phosphate remover for a day or two and see if that helps. Just, do it long enough to get close to 0 and see if it starts creeping back up. If it does you know it's not just wash out from where your removed the bio-balls. If you have a dsb and have been feeding heavy it may be poluted with phospates as well. What have you been feeding how often etc.

Well, I tried Kent Marine phospho remover and it didn't work. It did nothing. I have been feeding brine shrimp and silversides (to my long tenacle) every other day. It is only about two cubes of brine and about 4-6 silversides. I haven't changed out my bio balls just a few handfuls. I'm on the road working right now and won't be able to do much till I get back in the begining of Nov.

Thanks becky
