Photo Journal - My 55g tank.

Very nice!

very cool! i was thinking about doing angels in a 55, but i was under the impression altums would be too big???

what would happen if you had a combo of P. scalare with P. altums?

anyways, awesome job.

they just grow taller than p. scalares. i doubt anything will happen if you mix both species together. its just that p scalares are probably more hardier to keep.

thanks for the comments everyone.:D

Right on... well good luck with your angels... i think the idea of wild angels is awesome too...

i'll probably end up going with the P. scalares...

sad day for my 55g tank.. last night i turned off the 6 outlet powerstrip to do some maintenance. i forgot to turn the power back on after i was done and went off to bed. this morning when i woke up, the temperature has dropped from 82 to 70. the water in the tank was cloudy. and the worst thing possible is that i lost one of my angelfish due to my carelessness. i did an 80% water change and tested the water. results were 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites and 0 nitrates.

:( :bowing: RIP ANGEL. im sorry.

its been forever since i updated! gosh..

heres the only picture of the tank now

3 out of 12 cardinal tetras remain since that picture. no bodies were ever found. 2 out of 5 angels still thriving. lots of territorial issues between the two though. all the other fish are doing great. only one out of the 7 congo tetras turned out out to be male. also, my plecos mated not long ago.

Very sharp!
