Hello,
Please keep in mind that salt water weighs around 8.5 lbs per gallon depending on s.g. Make sure you figure that into your equations if you're worried about your floors! This is a great article!!

Yes, its old. But...

I am trying to figure out how to get an idea of surface area for a 55 corner tank as well as 72 or 92 corner tanks. Since I do plecos with my discus, I am more concerned about bottom / surface area than square inches of volume....

Can anyone help on this one? This seemed the appropriate thread to ask on...

Do the corner tanks have equal length sides and a curved front?

Measure the length of one side, square that number, multiply by pi (about 3.14), then divide by 4.
