Pic of 10 gallon, ready for fish

sorry for all of the ?s, but I'm excited that I have complete control over this tank :). TKOS, hopefully I can find LFS that stocks paradise fish. Shouldn't be a problem here in the bay area, though.

I'm even considering going the cichlid route. Not sure yet. The pH of the tap water here is ~7.6. Any opinions on which cookie cutter 10 gallon setup is good from cichlid forum?

edit: I guess I'm looking for more intelligent fish with interesting behavior, hence the interest in cichlids and paradise fish. We have the eye candy covered with my wife's 20 gallon 'woman' tank :D.

I had a 10g with Sa Dwarf Chiclids for about 5 months. I only had 2 in the tank but it still was quite a challenge. You would definately have to get a piece of what I think is called malaysian driftwood (not sure) to lower the pH. 7.6 is waaaaaaaayyyyyyy to high. Also you have to be fairly careful with dwarf chiclids as they do not respond well to chemicals. That is why pH nuetralizers are not a good idea for a chiclid tank.

My 10g is stocked with 1 Dwarf Neon Blue Gourami and 5 Neon tetras. I think it is a beautiful mix of colors.

Good Luck! :)
