Say hello to my new "little friend" .. picked up a Ornate Bichir today.. sat and watched him for an hour before I decided to take him home :)

And.. captured my Kissing Gourami's finally doing what they're named for :) .. still trying to locate a lfs with the green variety that's walkable distance.

Some new additions I picked up the other day...

another betta.....(and I thought I wasn't going to get anymore of those ! )

It's amazing how many different colors one betta can be...three shots, different lighting. He's a copper betta, but looks more metalic blue in the last two shots:

And....two little bumblebee gobies....I've changed my mind...panda cories are NOT the cutest fish....bumblebees are ! :D

They've colored up quite a bit since I took those pics. I have them in a holding tank for now.

That is such a nice looking betta Emg. I love the colours on it! Good find. What do you think of mine? My first betta.

Thank you TR.......I like Jack ! In the first pic you posted of him, when he has his fins all splayed out....you can see that he has a nice set. It's amazing the difference in a betta when they're just sitting there with relaxed fins, and then when they open up.

I took a better pic of my copper, whom I haven't yet named...(maybe Zorro ll...after my first copper)...one with closed fins....and one all opened up. WOW !

Plainish looking, not too exciting...(except for the color, of course...lol)

Open and ready for action:

When I'm looking at betta in the lfs, I look for color first, and then finnage. They could be a beautiful color, but if they have stringy fins I don't buy them. The fins make all the difference, and it looks like your Jack has a nice set....and he's a buff looking fella too ! :thm:

And I guess I've hogged up enough cyber space with pics of THIS guy...lol.....sorry about that....... :D

oOOOO...took some new pics of my planted one gallon betta tank this morning....they came out so good I thought I would share em !

This tank has been setup like this for about a year....same fish, same plants. I've never had any issues with either the tank, or the fish. Not even algae ! go figure.....

Hey Emg, in the last pictures you posted, what is he in? Like how much water would you say is in there. Because I have Jack in a little vase and it seems like he would enjoy bigger.
