They are filter feeders. They don't really require a special diet as long as the food is very small. I feed them Wardley Shrimp Pellets and Algae Waefers. The shrimp pellets will break apart into very fine pieces about a minute after it touches the water. Then they vacuum it up, it's really cool.
Squall....LOVE that first pic ! I guess the sacrifice is a good thing for the sake of moving up to a larger tank....lol....you'll have to share pics of that one when it's all set up !
Here's a photo of my recently upgraded 55gal which resides downstairs in my family room. My objective was keep the tank as quick & easy to maintain as possible (while doing it properly) so I have plastic plants
I also wasn't too worried about decor consistency so you'll notice a rubber starfish too
Anyway, I really like how it turned out! Once I get rid of some ich & get my q-tank up, it will be time for a couple of bosemani rainbows :dance:
