How's this for a one gallon betta tank ?

It's been setup like this with this fish in it for about 6 months and not a problem with it at all !! Fish is happy, healthy and doing well. NO algae problems..EVER ! Only one little 7watt incandescent bulb over it (I put a flourescent light over it in order to take this pic) I do water changes about once a week.

My Jag is currently 12" and is a male in a 60gal. They get up to 12" if its a female n 18" if its a male. Ive had mine for bout 6-7yrs now and is probable stunted in growth by now but I still plan on gettin a way bigger home for hime next year when I save up some money and hopefully with a bonus from work n my income tax combined. He's very very aggressive I havent seen nothin come close to his tempermant. His previous tanks mates use to be 3 oscars which only last for 3hours since he killed one and beet the other two up so I gave them away. He's a solo fish from now on. When I can I feed him Hikari Bio-Gold But for the time bein He's eating Hikari Gold cuz they dont have bio-gold at petsmart or at my job (Wal*Mart). He is my fav fish n is why I want to get him the home he deserves. If you got any more questions feel free to email me. Sorry for the long comment Mods Heres More pics

A pic of a little 2 gallon "Explorer" tank that I did up today.

I had it as a small hospital tank I was keeping 4 little weakling ram fry in....throw aways from a spawn I did earlier in the year. They're a sorry looking crew, but I didn't have the heart to toss them so I just put them in this tank. It had ugly brown gravel and fake plants in it for the longest time....today I found a nice piece of driftwood, picked up a couple small sprigs of java fern, a small anubia nana and added a small water spirte and a few other small plants I've had hanging around. I used echo-complete substrate that I had in anther tank and this is what I came out with. Too bad the tank doesn't have a light on it, so I had to use the flash...



Oh, I still have the little ram fry in there along with a betta that was in the tank I got the substrate from. I'll have to see how they get along...

Here's some pics of my very young Pseudotropheus sp. acei:

4 days old (22 Nov 05): Spawning event occurred on 02 Nov, eggs/fry were mouthbrooded for 17 days; a total of 32 fry (1cm) were 'spat' on 18 Nov

At Day 25:

Day 35, almost 2cm in length and developing deep purple coloration:

It's not every fella can wear pink and purple and retain his studdly charms...and ruffles on his petticotes too !!

They aren't the best pics, but I've been parked in front of this showoffs tank for the past hour trying to get a decent shot...he's just too darn full of himself !!

Male Red Zebra (most dominant fish in the tank)

Male Pseudotropheus socolofi (very territorial)

Synodontis eupterus catfish (6" & somewhat aggressive, these two have a love-hate relationship and are left alone by the cichlids)
