pic of my amano shrimp

valerie, great pic of an amano!

I've had 6 of them for a while, but they've only been with white clouds, which of course, are no threat at all. It's nice to hear that they'll mix with Rams, since I would like to get a cichlid tank started someime this year.

I bought mine at a LFS for around $3 IIRC

They mix well with my rams but when i got the the shrimp were bigger thent he rams and my rams aren't really aggresive. Hopefully it will work out with any ram but there is always a chance you might get a weird one that like to eat shrimps. But the shrips are also very good at hiding and for the first liitle while i could never find them in the plants.

MrGoodbytes - the big als is just the next street over. i think its address is like 99st- 32or 34ave. Its right next to the wosk furniture store(if it is still called wosk)

Nice pic..
I can never find them here. Would they do well in hotter water of around 85 degrees F ?

How do you take such nice clear pictures? Flash, no flash?

Its pretty much luck that i'm getting god pics because i have never taken any kind of pics before last week. I am using a canon A70 and had it on fast movement mode, macro setting without a flash.I jsut used auto focus and it came out clear. The shrimp was quite easy to photograph as it didn't really move so i could focus better. But susually with the pics of the fish i took many many blurry shots before i got any good ones.

Like yesterday i was taking pics of my africans, I took 33 pics and only 4-5 were really clear. fish are hard as they are constantly moving and cause it to become blurry. You have to time it perfectly so you take the pics right when they stop for that spilt second.
