Well, I thought there was a sailfin pleco, but planetcatfish doesn't list one, so I dunno what kind of plec I got. he's about 10-11" long, and beautiful. Very active, doesnt' seem stressed at all by the transition. I got him from the LFS - someone brought him in because he got too big for their tank.

That looks to be aSailfin Gibbicepts

I can't seem to get him to eat veggies though... there's boiled cucumber and zucchini in there, and the only ones who touch it are the snails. I tried broccoli yesterday too. I might pick up some peas and lettuce today to try out.

i've learned with plecos that once they grow up, they dont care so much for the veggies anymore... be careful, they soemtimes go for the other fish (i noticed little semi circles on the side of my goldfish..)

Check out the thread on pleco feeding above. Soaking the veggies in garlic water before a feeding can stimulate his appetite, and let him know the new veggies are food. You can also try him on raw prawn (shrimp) spinach, shrimp pellets, and algae wafers... Plus a whole lot more... read the thread!
