Picky Angels?

I've never seen the breeds you speak of, I did get them from my LFS....I'm going to look in to those you mentioned Exactly how big do they get? Eventually I will up grade but I dont have that much room... what do you think is better 40 gal tall or 30 gal long? I'm pretty sure they prefer a verticle set up, right?

you won't find many altums or wild scalare in the lfs very often.

you may actually see leopoldi from time to time often sold as scalare.

most of the ones we see in the lfs are domestic scalare. scalare can reach a body size of 4-6" with the altum the largest 7-8" (even larger I have been told)the leopoldi are the smallest at 4"

angels need tall tanks so the 40 tall would be okay (tho tough to clean..I know my arms are too short..LOL) a 30 reg would be okay but if I had the option I always go for the bigger tank...LOL
