Picky Gourami, hold out for how long?

My new dwarf gourami seems to be very picky. My understanding was that gouramis will eat almost anything, but out of the five different foods I have tried, he has refused to eat anything but frozen blood worms. I have since been holding out on him, trying to make him eat any of the other foods that I'm offering. Today marks day 4 of the hold out and he is still spitting everything out that I offer him.

From your experience, how long has it taken to break a picky fish from a habit like this? How long is it safe to hold out on him? Is there any reasonable chance that he will just starve himself rather than eating anything else?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I doubt he would starve himself unless he was not healthy in some way. I would not even try to feed him for up to a week. If you are still offering the food, hes not worried that it won't be coming :D

I had a similar issue with a Gourami turns out he was just waiting tell it was dark to eat little S**T

Mine were pigs and would eat anything that would fall in the tank. Sorry I could not help..
