THis surprised me... I just added this Toadstool 3 days ago, and already my two Ocellaris clowns are hosting on it... The toadstool hasn't even fully opened yet, but the one(i'm guessing the female), just hovers over it all the time, and swims around/underneath it... Anyway, I thought it was cool, plus I didn't want to try an anemone in this tank...

I love seeing a clown in a coral. Those toadstools are neat, I love how they look when they grow clear to the surface of the water. One of these days I'll get me one, maybe my clown will move out of the button polyps and live in the toadstool like yours!

Very cute! Although they have been in the tank with a toadstool for years, my clowns have not really used it as a host. This morning, though, I saw my male wiggling around in the polyps. We'll see if he keeps it up.

thanks for the comments! THe toadstool is really taking off already, but unfortunately(see my other thread), its the only coral I have thats taking off... :(

I would recommend exactly what you see above, a pair of Ocellaris clowns, or maybe Percula. Mine are tankraised, and despite what some might say, I'm very happy with their color and lines. They won't get as deep/colorful as wildcaught, but are much hardier for a newer tank. Tomato clowns would work. Clarkii's are nice, but get pretty big for the tank you have(48g right?),

As far as anemones, you'll have to ask someone with more knowledge. From what i've read, Percs. and Ocellaris are difficult to pair with an anemone in captivity, especially tankraised clowns...
