i worked here for a while and now visit periodically to see the progress. the guy in charge of the tanks does an amazing job.
nurse shark tank. 8.5 feet long, 300 gallons. shark was purchased at 2 feet and is now 3.5, we r planning his relocation currently...

when the shark reaches 6 feet it wont be able to turn around and dies. it happened once before when the brooklyn aquarium rejected it and it was too cold to release it in the wildlife sanctuary. that is why this one we are going to figure out what to do with now.
 
cool fish and pics, though weird stocking. . . .red devils/midas and jack dempseys aren't amazon river species, they're central american.
