pics of my new pinocchio shrimp

Those are beautiful shrimp. Are they Sulswasies? If so, how hard are they to care for?

They are really pretty...much more so than one would be led to believe from the on-line descriptions. They aren't Sulawesies. They come from India and South East Asia. I've read they are normally found in brackish water but do fine in fresh--don't know if that is true. Mine are doing fine and don't seem hard to keep. They like a planted tank and like all the shrimp are extremely sensitive to ammonia, nitrate and nitrite. Apparently they prefer slightly soft water. Temperature: 72F-80F, PH: 7.5- 8.5.

All that pretty much describes my tank...and so far so good!

Great shots! I love these shrimp. They remind me of little helicopters going around the tank.

Ah, good to know I'm not the only one who imagines little helicopters zooming around their tanks. I love it when my wild-type cherries do this! :D

Really great shots, per usual... that first one - I love the sparkling colors!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! (want, want, want!!) ((Jealous, jealous, jealous))
