Just thought I'd post a few old picks (I've posted on MFk, but not here)
Also some pics of my new 300gl tank running when I picked it up on Easter 2008 :) (currently in storage now, due to re-modeling my house:grinyes:)

Pics 4-7 are from the new 300 acrylic and the others are from my old glass 150
Only had the 300 up for about 2-3 weeks before shutting down, so I never got to add everything in the tank (sand etc...) like I plan to. Just knew I was going to re-model so I am waiting till its done. Then I will get the tank running and with the decor I want:grinyes:

By the way... Tats are 8.5", Gar 14", Ray 7"

wow what a tank!!! Very Nice!!

Nice fish! Be careful of the hood on that acrylic tank; if it's like mine (looks identical) then it's prone to excessive torsion and cracking.

Thanks

Nice pics.

Realy??? They are from a camera phone. I think they are weak pics, but you can see what I'm taking pics of:)

Yeah, I noticed when I broke it down that the right side of the top is curving up:angryfire:. How do you fix this??? It is a TruVu acrylic tank. I thought they were top of the line tanks???

amazing tank, west.
Thank you

If there's a plastic shop in the area, they can probably fix it and add some braces; I wouldn't try that canopy as a first DIY acrylic repair job.

I'm considering building two 4-foot plywood canopies to replace my single 8-foot acrylic. It's just poorly engineered. I don't remember now who the manufacturer was.

Im not following you on the DIY job?? You mean if I replace the top acrylic bymyself???? If so, NO WAY!!!! I couldnt drill a crooked hole if I tried:rofl:. No realy, I dont want to even attempt to fix it myself and "What if I messed up...":)
As for my canopy, right on top of the overflow where the canopy is it is starting to slope down. I am either going to add a nice 3" thick pc of metal and drill it on or I'm going to drill some wood on the canopy to support the weight. The canopy is freaking heavy!!!!!!!!!!

sweet tats!!i need to get me some nice redtails like yours lookin good.

throw some more rays up in there!!
