Nursie, he is so EXQUISITE I have yet to capture his incredible colour...His vigor is without measure, second only to his beauty...The female is equally as lovely and some fine stock bred by a friend of mine. A good pair from this line will go for $100

Tell me about it!...He is down there guarding them like a junk yard dog...He was so cute and protective...He was actually shoving her "prone" body out of the nest with his nose so he could tend to the eggs...Mama is resting comfortably and he is fretting like mad with the eggs....GIMME SOME WRIGGLERS!
How do you get mosquito larva? I have wanted to try it, but I have read the only way to get it is to have a bucket outside, and that only works in the summer.
I buy it frozen at the LFS...Also known as "glass worms"...I used to just collect it outdside, however with pollution and god knows what else taking up residence in the bucket, it gave it up...MUCH easier to keep the frozen ones too...
They have also made it illegal to have "standing water" in Ontario..West Nile Virus is becoming a problem and skeeters are carrying it...Better to be safe then sorry.
You mention selling the offspring in pairs... Why is this done? Is it possible to buy just single fish from breeders, or does one always have to buy in pairs?
