I finally think I got this aquascaping down. The plants are in a U shape, there are foreground, midground, and background plants. I moved the diffuser over sinse I got a canister filter and I am going to buy a few more tall plants to hide the equipment on the right better.

Very nice mixture of texture! Excellent!
Symmetry is not wanted for the most part in aquariums, it doesn't look natural. Your mix is working...

Must compliment you on the crystal clear water too!

That is one big-assed sword;)..nice job, bro. You could try some rotala indica in there..it has great height potential and will add a splash more red to your tank. I also think some java fern tied onto the wood would look very nice.
 
I was thinking the same thing about the sword! Very nice looking tank overall, looks well maintained and healthy. You definitely need to fill it a bit more with some taller plants.

What is the plant in the foreground? Does it stay short like that all the time? I really like it.
 
i always thourght you were a cichlid man NJ but still thats an awsome peice of wood jerks here cant get good wood or they dont wanna sell it to me:(
