Pictures of My 10 Gallon Tank

Well, you've got me jealous of your HC! I've never been good with ground covers.

When I look at your tank, I see very healthy plants - but that's about all I would see. It is also very 'right heavy' - that is, the attention is drawn right, instead of the tank as a whole. I would consider a second species of plant on the left, and also to do some hardscaping - that is, that plants on their own will not create the stunning effect that you can get with a good hardscape.

How about some driftwood or rocks? A background would be a big help. The plants look very healthy.

I'm done stocking the tank for now. It currently has a handful of amano shrimp and something like 30 red cherries, although there are quite a few females carrying eggs so that may change. I also have 12 dwarf rasboras in there. There are tons and tons of snails in there that are beginning to take over. I'm in the market for a small fish or crustacean that eats only small snails and doesn't require a school.I was thinking about putting a very small crayfish in there for a short period of time, but it will probably destroy the plants.

This tank has done pretty well considering that I rarely fertilize and don't inject CO2 anymore. Reducing the light from 3 17 watt tubes to 2 also helped out immensely with algae control.

I never used to like rocks/driftwood but now that I see that the pieces of java fern in the tank are starting to grow well, I'm beginning to consider it.

Great-looking tank :headbang2:

But I think it would also be nice to have a background of some sort and a large/medium-sized rock somewhere on the left portion on the tank.

But as I said, it's "something" already :headbang2:

I loved ur setting!

I was wondering if i could tell my oppinion! I will say it but like ive said its just an oppinion...

I think it would be great that uve have some focal point hardware! And i suggest some wood comming from inside that bushy side u have (the red plants) from the behing corner to middle...

The plants look great but u really need some "hardware"! :P

Thought I would post an update on my tank. It seems to be doing fairly well.

Nice looking tank, the plants are very lush. What kind of hood is on there? DIY or something commercial? Curious cuz I'm in the market for some kind of 10 gallon hood.
